To the majors

The Fulton Railroaders have had many players that have played for them and are now playing for the major leagues. 

2018 Railroader, James Nix, from Huntsville, Alabama was drafted to the Houston Astros. Nix was selected by the Astros in the 35th round of the 2019 MLB June Amateur Draft.

Hunter Owen is a former Fulton Railroader that has made it into the minor leagues playing for the Altoona Curve, the AA team for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Owen was honored, being named the “Player Of The Week” for the Eastern League. Owen is a third baseman, he led the league with homeruns, runs, and extra base hits at the time he was announced “Player Of The Week”. 

Clay Chandler is another former Fulton Railroader, that has made it to the major leagues. He is currently playing for the West Virginia Power, the A team of the Seattle Mariners. Chandler was names “Pitcher Of The Week” of the South Atlantic division. At this time Chandler has a 0.75 ERA.
